Chlorpheniramine Maleate I.P. 10 mg.
Chlorbutol I P. 0.5%w/v
(as preservative)
Water for injection I.P Q.S.
INDICATION
Chlorpheniramine is used to prevent allergic reactions and for pruritus therapy in dogs and cats. In addition to the antihistamine effect for treating allergies, these drugs block the effect of histamine in the vomiting center, vestibular center, and other centers that control vomiting in animals.
Adverse Reactions and Side Effects
Sedation is the most common side effect. Antimuscarinic effects (atropine-like effects) also are common, such as the dry mouth and decreased GI secretions.

acute respiratory signs.
. Rhinitis. Dyspnoea, Pulmonary Emphysema, Pulmonary Edema, Asthma and hay Fever.
. Eczema, Moist Eczema, Various types of Dermatitis, Urticaria,
Insect Bite, Tail Eczema in Horses, Toxic Hoof corns and Burns.
. Ruminal Atony, Tympani and Blot in ruminants.
. Puerperal Toxemia and Secondary Placental Retention. Acute
Septic metritis and Gangrenous Mastitis.
DOSAGE
BY I/M ROUTE
Large animal : 3-5 ml.
Small animal : 1-2 ml.
Dog and Cat : 0.5-1 ml.
