Saaf Fungicide
(Systemic and Contact Fungicide) CARBENDAZIM 12% + MANCOZEB 63% WP Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP is a systemic and contact fungicide. It is recommended to control leaf spot and rust diseases of groundnut; blast disease of paddy; early blight, late blight and black scurf of potato; blister blight, grey blight, red rust, die–back and black rot of tea; downy mildew, powdery mildew and anthracnose disease of grape; powdery mildew and anthracnose disease of mango; control of tikka leaf spot, collar rot and dry root rot for groundnut seed treatment and leaf spot, fruit rot and powdery mildew of chilli; control of Downy mildew and Leaf blight of maize and control of fruit scab and powdery mildew of apple.

For Seed Treatment:

DIRECTION OF USE:
The product should be used immediately on appearance of disease symptoms. As per recommendation, mix the product and water at right dosage and spray. Spray by suitable sprayer viz. knapsack sprayer, foot aQsprayer, compression knapsack sprayer etc. Before spraying the fungicide, its suspension should be mixed well with a wooden stick.
For Seed Treatment: To treat the seed, prepare slurry with requisite quantity of product with 10 ml of water per Kg of seed and swirled in a closed container to make uniform coating on the seeds. Coated seeds are then shade dry and to be sown on the same day or next day. PRECAUTIONS: 1. Store in cool & dry place away from heat or open flame. 2. The spray man should use appropriate protective clothing like hat, long sleeved shirt, long pants and shoes. 3. Avoid contact with eyes and skin when handling the concentrates spray solution. Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application. 4. Remove contaminated clothes and wash before reuse. Do not reuse the empty containers. 5.Wash hands & exposed skin with soap and water before meals and after work. 6. After spraying/applying this fungicide, the sprayer and utensils should be thoroughly cleaned with plenty of soap and water.
CAUTION: Product is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms and thus its use may be avoided near aquaculture.
SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: Sweating, headache, lethargy, coughing, sneezing, itching, nausea, vomiting may occur.
FIRST AID: 1. If swallowed, induce vomiting by tickling the back of throat, repeat it until the vomitus is clear. Do not induce vomiting if the patient is unconscious. 2. If clothing and skin are contaminated, remove the clothes and wash the contaminated skin with copious amount of water. 3. If eyes are contaminated, flush with plenty of saline/ clean water for about 10 to
15 minutes. 4. If inhaled, remove the patient to fresh air. ANTIDOTE: No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically. CONDITIONS TO BE SPECIFIED FOR STORAGE OF FUNGICIDE: 1. The packages containing fungicide shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms or premises used for storing articles or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the fungicide. 2. The room or premises meant for storing fungicides shall be well built, dry well – lit and ventilated and of sufficient dimensions.
DISPOSAL OF USED PACKAGES, SURPLUS MATERIALS AND WASHINGS OF FUNGICIDE: 1. It shall be the duty of the manufacturers, formulators of fungicide and operators to dispose packages or surplus materials and washings in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental and water pollution. 2. The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re–use. 3. Packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.
