COMPOSITION
Cefixime (200mg)

Mechanism of Action

• How it Works: Similar to other antibiotics, Cefixime weakens bacteria by interfering with their cell wall development, ultimately killing them.
• Generations: Cephalosporins come in different generations. Cefixime belongs to the third generation, offering a broad range of effectiveness against bacteria.

Clinical Uses

• Targets Skin, Soft Tissue & Urinary Infections: Effective against a range of bacterial infections in these areas.

Dose: 

• Standard Dosage: 10 mg per kilogram body weight, every 12 hours by mouth (PO)
• Urinary Tract Infection: 5 mg per kilogram body weight, every 12-24 hours by mouth (PO)
