Zeet Injection 30ml/100ml

Composition:

 Each ml contains:

  • Chlorpheniramine maleate IP 10mg
  • Chlorbutol IP: 0.4% W/V (as preservative)

Indication:

Chlorpheniramine is used to prevent allergic reactions and for pruritus therapy in dogs and cats. In addition to the antihistamine effect for treating allergies, these drugs block the effect of histamine in the vomiting center, vestibular center, and other centers that control vomiting in animals.

Adverse Reactions and Side Effects
Sedation is the most common side effect.  Antimuscarinic effects (atropine-like effects) also are common, such as the dry mouth and decreased GI secretions.

  • Photosensitive irritation, itching, dermatitis, insect bite and snake bite, pregnancy ketosis, mastitis, septic metritis, pulmonary emphysema, bloat and to alleviate adverse drug reaction.

Dosage & administration:

 Large animals:

  • 3-5 ml by I/M route only

Small animals:

Small Animal Dosage
Dogs
• 4-8 mg/dog q12h PO; up to a maximum dose of 0.5 mg/kg q12h.
Cats
• 2 mg/cat q12h PO.

  • 0.5-2 ml by I/M route only
